FAMILY is FOREVER

On Wednesday January 22 was a very special day.  First it was my dad's 65th Birthday.  Happy Birthday Dad. Second it was my cousin Jessica's Birthday and the day she met her birth mom.  It was a very special day for her to meet her on her 18th birthday. The eve of her birthday her birth mom posted a poster about her on facebook. It was a joyous reunion.  I know that family will be together forever.  On Monday the 20th we attended the funeral for Andrew's Cousin Shonda's 3 day old baby boy Amos.  He was blest to gain his body. But his spirit is too perfect for this world and will be with his family forever.

Peace the Gospel Brings

It was two weeks ago at lunch I was discussing with some co workers Andrew's dads health.  I got a phone call from a cousin in Washington State.  Tracy a cousin's wife of Andrew's who was with him when he passed his way into the next life.  He was at peace and in no more earthly pain.  I am so great full for the Peace I felt for the Gospel of Jesus Christ who atoned for our pain.  I went to a dear friends class and cried on her shoulder.  She is the mother of my cousins wife.  I then went over to West Lake where my mom teaches and she even cried. 

We laid Wade Olin Petersen the father of Andrew Wade Petersen to rest in Penrose Utah on November 26, 2013.

Living Prophets to lead in these Latter Days

I LOVE General Conference Weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I love looking forward to hearing the messages from our living prophets and church leaders. They are called to lead us each in these the latter days.  The messages of conference are awesome.  I am greatful for my membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Days.  I know President Monson is a Prophet today.  I know the Book of Mormon is indeed "Another Testimony of Jesus Christ."  I know Joseph Smith saw God the Father and his son Jesus Christ.  I know I am a daughter of God.

Stomach Pains

Last Wednesday Andrew went to the home of a family in the ward to give the husband a priesthood blessing.  On Thursday Andrew thought he was sick.  He actually threw up which is highly unusual for him.  I called a couple of the brethren in the ward to come give him a blessing.  He said it was like someone had hit him in the gut.  Friday he called in sick.  Saturday and Sunday he slept most of the days.  He slept on the couch, on the bed, and spare bed.  He missed out on doing sealings with the family on Saturday. Monday his mom said he needed to see a dr.  Tuesday morning he called in again.  I gave him some grape juice and moments later he was throwing it up.  He called the dr. and at 9:00 was at urgent care 1:00 he called me and said we needed to get to the hospital.  He had a perforated appendix.  He get to IMC and it appereard to have burst or ruptured and they can't take it out because there is a lot of infection.  Sine Thursday he has lost 10 pounds.  Poor guy was having Stomach Pains.

Lancerland

Well I am a Lancer of Granger High School. I have been at the New and Improved Granger High for a week in a half now.  The 9th graders love me, well most of them.  Well a lot of the West Lake Mustangs that are at Granger were very excited to see me at the new Granger.  I am loving my new job.

Beth's New Job

After going from being an aide at Woodrow Wilson Elm. School 2002-2007.  In 2007-2013 I was blessed to work at West Lake Jr. High.  In January 2013 at a meeting I attended I learned that Granger High was going to become a Title I school.  I was excited, new school, some of my students will be there that are awesome.  So in March I contacted the Principal and started the interview process. So, beginning in August I will become a Granger Lancer.  I get to work ith students I already know, some teachers I already know.  Yes that includes Sensi Cook my cousin. Here is to a great 2013 -2014 school year lets go Lancers.





Fall means FOOTBALL

Well Thursday the 30th of August was BYU's home opener vs. Washington State. Going into the game we knew "The Cougars" were going to win. The big I mean really BIG question is which team with the mascot of a Cougar. Well the team who won was:
